Sunday 6th August 2023
Where Is It?

Helmingham Hall, IP14 6EF – approximately 8 miles north of Ipswich. A wonderful moated hall, surrounded by splendid parkland, with herds of both red and fallow deer.

What Can We See?

There are two large areas of classic cars and owners club stands of all makes and variations, together with coaches and some commercial vehicles – there is always something new and unexpected to see. It is probably the largest car show in the East of England. The Club has reserved a stand for 8 cars and welcomes all ages of vehicles. Families are welcome, as too, are dogs.

During the afternoon, owners will drive their cars, against the clock, down the long tree lined drive. The roar of the cars, many of which are of the unusual exotic variety, and the excited anticipation of the crowd add to the atmosphere.

Over the years there have been a variety of additional entertainments. Displays of falconry and other country sports, music to suit all tastes, rock, pop, folk, samba and sometimes 1940s – era dancing. Added to that there are a large variety of food and drink outlets, serving both hot and cold food and drinks There is also auto jumble and a variety of other stalls.

It is also possible to walk through the gardens behind the Hall and around the moat to reach the tea shop and other permanent shops within the stables complex.
A land of woods, wilderness, wonders, windmills and watermills. A fine venue in a fine county.
